Connecting InSales
Integration allows the bot to search for products, work with customers, receive orders and create new orders in the InSales online store.
InSales connects as a data source and a set of actions. Customer messages through this integration are not received in ChatRex.
Necessary rights
When installed, ChatRex requests access to the following InSales sections:
- Goods;
- Orders;
- Customers, including personal data, phone number and email.
These rights are necessary for finding goods, working with customers, receiving and creating orders.
Connection
- Open Integrations in ChatRex.
- Press Connect integration and select InSales.
- Press Connect.
- On the settings page, select Open InSales marketplace.
- Find the ChatRex app in the marketplace and install it.
- After the redirect, log in to your ChatRex account.
- Go back to Integrations and make sure that InSales appears on the list with Connected Connection Status.
In the integration settings, the domain of the connected store is displayed. Check it out if you have multiple InSales stores.
note
One InSales store can only be linked to one ChatRex account. If the store is already connected to another account, you will not be able to complete the connection.
Reinstallation
If the ChatRex app has been removed from InSales, install it again and log in to the desired ChatRex account again. The existing store connection can be re-activated without creating a duplicate.
Actions bot
After connecting, add the necessary operations in the tab Integrations and actions. Receiving and searching products, working with customers and orders are described in the article InSales actions.
Verification
- Get a test item and compare its options, price and availability with InSales.
- Find a test client by phone or email.
- Get your existing test order.
- Before checking the order creation, select the delivery method and the compatible payment method in action.
- Create a test order and compare its composition and customer data with InSales.
Creating a customer and order changes the real store data. Use test data, do not re-start the action with an unknown result, and do not inform the client of the successful registration until the action has returned the confirmation.
Limitations
Integration does not accept customer messages, does not synchronize the entire catalog in the background, and does not import the entire order history. The bot does not modify or delete products, customers or existing orders.
