NetCat
First, connect NetCat. Then open Integrations and actions in the bot editor, add the required actions and save your changes.
Catalog actions work with Netshop and selected ordinary components. Order lookup and creation require ChatRex module 0.2.0 or later, the standard Netshop order component and separate permissions.
Search NetCat products
Provide at least one criterion: a product name, SKU, category or attributes. The name may be empty, for example when searching by category alone. The criteria are combined.
Searching without a product name, filtering by price or stock and getting the next page require ChatRex module 0.2.0 or later. Earlier versions support basic product name search; update the module to use the new options.
You can also set minimum and maximum prices, restrict results to products in stock and request between 1 and 20 results. Use the offset field to skip results and get the next page. When the action returns has_more: true, use next_offset to continue with the same criteria.
Attributes depend on the administrator's field mapping. In the preview, enter one attribute per line as name: value, for example Color: black.
The result contains matching products with their exact identifiers. Disabled products and products in hidden parent sections are excluded.
Product details, stock and URL
Use an identifier returned by search or product details. Do not replace it with the product name or invent an ID. For a Netshop size or color, select the exact variant identifier and check its price and stock.
Find NetCat order
Provide the order number and the email address or phone number used when placing the order. If both contacts are supplied, both must match. The order number alone is not enough.
The action returns the items, total, currency and current order status for the connected store. It does not change the order. An incorrect contact does not reveal order details.
Create NetCat order
Provide between 1 and 20 different products with exact identifiers and quantities. Each quantity must be between 0.001 and 1000, with at most three decimal places. Combine repeated products into one item.
The customer name, email address and city are required, including for a quote. Phone number, address, postal code and comment are optional. Select a specific product variant; creating an order requires a known price and sufficient stock.
Order creation has two steps:
- The bot calculates a quote and shows the customer the products, quantities, total and currency. No order exists yet. The quote is valid for 15 minutes.
- After the customer explicitly confirms, the bot creates an order with the same details and returns its actual number. If the items, price or availability change, or the quote expires, a new quote and new confirmation are required.
The editor preview performs only the first step. The integration does not charge payments or book shipments automatically; the store handles fulfilment. Stock changes follow the native Netshop checkout rules.
Repeating a confirmed request should not create another order. If the outcome is unknown, check the orders in NetCat first instead of placing a new order blindly.
Test the actions
- Find a real published product by category alone, then by name or SKU with the required filters.
- Retrieve its details, check the exact variant and stock, and open the storefront URL.
- Enter test details in the Create NetCat order preview and check the quote. No new order should appear in NetCat.
- With a separate test bot, ask to place an order, review the items and total, then confirm. Match the returned number and details with the order in NetCat.
- Look up its status using the correct contact, then check that another contact cannot reveal the order.
Use a test store and an inexpensive model that supports actions. A conversation tests the bot flow; the preview alone does not test order placement.
