# WhatsApp Connection

Once connected, the bot will be able to receive incoming WhatsApp messages and respond in the same dialog.

## Before connecting n

- WhatsApp phone should be nearby and connected to the Internet.
- Make sure the number is not used in any other incompatible integration.
- Do not close the ChatRex window until the scan is completed.

## Connection

1. Open **Integrations**.
2. Press **Connect integration**.
3. In the **Channels** tab, select **WhatsApp**.
4. Open the tab **Connection installation**.
5. Press **Scan the QR code** and wait for it to appear. Formation can take up to two minutes.

## QR code scanning

1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. On Android, open the menu, on iPhone - **Settings**.
3. Select **Connected devices →Connect device**.
4. Point the camera to a QR code in ChatRex.
5. Wait for the status **Connected**.

## Designation of a botoo channel

1. Open **My Bots** and press **Change**.
2. Go to **Channels and Launch**.
3. Click **Add channel** and select connected WhatsApp.
4. Set up working hours and other available conditions.
5. Press **Save changes**.

## Verification

Send a message to a connected number from another account. Make sure it appears in **Chats**, the bot responded, and the record is in **History**.

If there is no answer, check the integration status, subscription, channel assignment and bot working hours.

Do not leave the connected WhatsApp device after connecting. If the connection is disabled, open the integration settings and scan the new QR code.
